Why does Chic's label say Tequila Liqueur?
By the Mexican Tequila Regulation, the nomination of tequila is with the original agave flavor. Since natural flavors are added to this product, they request we use the word liqueur. But Chic's is made with 100% tequila and natural flavors.
Why does the chocolate flavor say it is imitation chocolate?
Because they could not find a definition for it. It is real chocolate flavor! We are trying to eliminate the word in future label approvals.

FOOD RECIPES CHIC'S CHOCOLATE PEACH A LA MODE (Low-Fat Tasty dessert! Just one portion allows it!!!) 1 cup low-fat frozen vanilla yogurt or light ice cream Let yogurt soften slightly. Mix honey, butter, ginger, cinnamon, and the Chic's Chocolate tequila in small saucepan. Stir 1 tablespoon honey mixture and 1 tablespoon of almonds or chocolate chips into softened frozen yogurt. Refreeze until serving. Place the peach halves, cut side up, on broiler pan, drizzle with half remaining honey mixture. Broil 8 to 10 minutes, until lightly browned. Transfer to bowls. Top each peach half with 1/4 cup yogurt: top with almonds and remaining honey mixture. CHIC'S CHOCOLATE FONDUE (Just for the ones that love a romantic night) 1 garlic clove, peeled Rub the inside of a fondue pot with the garlic clove; discard the garlic. Pour the Chic's Chocolate Tequila into the pot and bring to a simmer over medium-high heat. Combine the cornstarch with the Ribiola and Taleggio in a bowl. Reduce the heat to medium and add the cheese mixture to the wine by the spoonful, whisking constantly to prevent lumps. Continue until all of the cheese mixture has been added and is fully melted, about 3 minutes. Stir in the lemon juice, salt and pepper, and thin out if necessary with the broth. Cook for 1 to 2 minutes. Serve the fondue when it is bubbling still in its pot, with fresh, thinly sliced bread speared on long handled metal fondue forks. (Serves 6) |
