Why does Chic's label say Tequila Liqueur?

By the Mexican Tequila Regulation, the nomination of tequila is with the original agave flavor. Since natural flavors are added to this product, they request we use the word liqueur. But Chic's is made with 100% tequila and natural flavors.

CHIC'S LEMON GARLIC SHRIMP

(Easy and Delicious...Just the way you will enjoy it!)

1 pound uncooked shrimp
1/2 cup Lime Chic's Tequila
4 large cloves garlic, chopped
2 teaspoons dried oregano
1 fresh lemon juice
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon cracked black pepper
1/2 cup olive oil

Combine Lime Chic's Tequila, lemon juice, garlic, oregano, salt and pepper in bowl. Whisk in oil until well blended. (Marinade can be refrigerated, covered, for up to 4 hours.) Combine 1 pound cleaned medium-sized shrimp (4 servings) with marinade in plastic bag or covered bowl, refrigerate 30 minutes. Grill or broil shrimp until cooked through, 2 minutes on each side. Serve over rice or pasta.(Marinade good with other shellfish, chicken or beef)

CHIC'S LEMON-DIJON CHICKEN

Tasty and Low Fat! The perfect dinner dish)

1 1/2 tablespoon lemon juice
1/4 cup Chic's Lime Tequila
3/4 teaspoon Dijon mustard
2 cloves garlic, crushed
1 1/3 cups low sodium chicken broth, fat skimmed off top and discarded
4 boneless, skinless chicken breast halves, about 6 ounces each, washed and patted dry
1/4 teaspoon lemon pepper
2 teaspoons cornstarch
1/4 teaspoon fresh rosemary
3/4 teaspoon lemon peel, shredded

Combine first 3 ingredients and 1/3 cup of chicken broth. Mix well. Pour marinade over chicken breasts and marinate in refrigerator 1 hour. Preheat broiler. Remove chicken from marinade and reserve marinade. Sprinkle chicken with lemon pepper. Broil about 10 minutes per side, or until cooked throughout. Measure out 1 tablespoon plus 1 teaspoon of remaining chicken broth and set aside. Combine the rest of chicken broth with the marinade in the saucepan. Bring to a boil and then reduce heat to low. Simmer 5 minutes. Mix together cornstarch and reserved chicken broth. Blend simmering mixture and cook 5 minutes longer. Strain the sauce through a china cap or fine sieve. Add rosemary and lemon peel. Serve sauce over chicken.
